How long does your Wax last ??

Usually how long does your wax last on your car ??

I do it recently and it seems like its ready to be done within the month but when I first bought the car it felt like i could go longer between waxes..

When i mean how long does it last, I mean how long do you can tell that the water is "beeding" when it rains

i wouldn't know since i wax every month, and use touch up wax when needed. i'd say about 10-15 washes before you need to rewax depending on the type of wax.

I do a major detail (clay, polish, wax) twice a year and touch up with Carnuba every 6 - 8 weeks and use some quick detailer where necessary. Some of this depends on how your car is exposed. My car is garaged when not in use.

Yep. Also, local pollution and if you garage your car or not.... lots of factors. Paint prep might improve longevity.

I wouldn't judge by how water beads when it rains. Instead, I'd judge beading when rinsing after a wash. Once dry check the paint with your dry, clean hands and see how slick it still is. Sometimes waxes will still be there and the paint will be still slippery, but it won't bead.

Beading does not always equate with wax protection.

matty what wax are you using anyway? Also, what's your "routine"?

5 years, seriously. Applied it 3 months ago, water is still beading and sprinting off my car when sitting still in the rain. I just rinse and wipe off dirt. Shines like crazy. www.5starshine.com I tired it and happy so far.

Some people get this result with Klasse: It goes from beading, to sheeting, back to beading again... I don't know why this happened, but I got this effect as well. It was worrisome at first, but the paint was still slick and it started beading up again not long afterwards... *shrug*

Klasse is normally exceptionally durable if used right.

Many carnubas tend to last anywhere from 1 month to a month and a half (dependent on the area).

As for the polymers like Klasse and Zaino, they last around 6 months or longer (dependent on the number of coats of the sealant glaze applied).
