As far as your dilemma, I hope they take care of you. Red cars are the toughest to keep shiny - my old Jeep was red, and that color oxidizes so fast if the wax wears off. Just take a look at older NWA planes to see what I mean - red is beotch to keep looking good.

Let me know what you think, ive got alot of microfiber towels too.
Getting your money back and leaving sounds like the best option. Who knows what they could do with a rotary buffer?
As for the detailing, sounds like a plan - kit should be here mid-next week. I'm leaving Thursday night for a wedding over the weekend. I might be able to get together the following Monday or Tuesday night. After that I'm in Europe until 30 November for work....
Have you done any research on products? You may want to consider 2 or 3 steps in addition to a final wax to get all the swirls. Maybe start with compounding, then polish, then finish polish (aka glaze), then wax. Autopia has some good reviews.

Way to support to the hometown team with 3M. Their Perfect-It Show Car wax is really good, too. Let me know where you buy your products. I have yet to find a good shop, at least in the west metro.
I think your strategy will work - more cut to no cut, very gradually. I wonder how the Einszett Paint Polish will do with a PC. I'm hoping I don't have to go multi-step polish on my car. I'm also looking forward to applying the Glanz Wax with the PC and a Sonus pad. I think the PC was a good investment.
I misspoke before, I'll only be gone 'til 30 October. Just 11 days, not a whole month. That would be crazy. We'll have to see how timing works out, and I do have your number still.

Just talked with the owner, sounds like he wants me to come in next week so his detailer can take a look at it. He said its probably because they werent using foam pads, since they had just ordered some new ones since they were out. But its sounding like they are gonna redo it for free, I hope. Im gonna stop in on monday to talk with them, we'll see how it goes.

you could use your your hands but picture doing the whole car. thats alot of work. i rather let a machine take care of that but there is always a risk of messing up especially on plastic parts like bumpers and spoilers because the buffer heats those items up cause of the high speed it is spinning at.
You know what, **** it. I dont want them touching my car again. Plus I dont have the time to leave it with them for a whole day. Id rather go out and buy a PC and polish it up myself. I dont think they can get a good shine as I can, I know what my car likes best. Plus its more rewarding to work on it myself.
