Cleaning carpets

How do i clean the carpets (besides vacuuming)? I hate crappy mats so stuff gets on em and its hard to get it out.

Try using a good carpet cleaner, and a scrub brush.

The carpet along with cloth seats can get really clean with an interior shampoo.
Here's a picture of my seat with half of it cleaned with Autoglym Interior Shampoo.

You can wash the Maxima mats in a front loader washing machine. The big ones at the laundromats on a GENTLE CYCLE are great for this.

I've done this a few times with no damage and the mats come out VERY VERY clean. Any stains that don't come out will require some "spot shot" type of carpet cleaner afterwords. Use the machine on the COLD WATER temp setting. You can also pretreat any stains on the cloth mats. You can even dry them in the dryer on a low to medium setting. High setting and you're asking for burning rubber.

Do NOT use a TOP loader machine with an AGITATOR. The mats will be destroyed beyond all comprehension. It must be a FRONT loader agitatorless machine.

I never thought about using my front loader for that. What an idea!
