I just prepped my car for winter yesterday. Same way as last winter. I used the Klasse AIO and SG. I'll end up with 3 layers of SG. That should provide good protection. You can apply wax over the SG, but in the harsh winter it won't last very long.

I prefer the acrylic type products for the winter (Klasse, Blackfire) I believe that NXT is an acrylic type too.

The key thing you want is longevity and protection for your finish during the winter months. Polymers like Klasse, Zaino, or Blackfire will give you an added layer of protection against the elements while keeping your car looking pristine despite the salt.

If you have SG on your car already, I'd say to top it with Meg's #16. That's what I have on my neighbors' cars right now for winter protection (EX-P + #16). I'll see how long it lasts on their cars (silver 04 Sonata, blue 04 Tiburon). This weekend I'll be redetailing my car again for winter. I'm going to prep the surface with AIO by PC, then I'm going to put on 1 or 2 coats of FourStar Ultimate Paint Protection, then a coat of Meg's #16 on top.
That should last me well through the winter, and I'll rewax it on my winter break (Entire month of January).

Id go with the AIO, then top it with S100/P21s that does really well against salt

I thought that carnuba didn't stand up that well in snow and salt. That it was better for appearance rather than durability. I put SG over the AIO for the winter.

Yes. Carnauba waxes are not very durable, and the harsh road salt will require a more durable layer to protect the paint. S100/P21S is more of a show wax. It looks great for a short period of time but does not last very long. For winter protection you need something durable like EX-P, 4* UPP, Klasse SG, etc. Then you can put a carnauba on top of that for extra gloss. For optimal protection, you can layer the sealant and add a durable carnauba like Meg's #16 Paste Wax.

Also, let's add Menzerna's FMJ to the mix. I have that in my possession and may try that out on the old man's Navigator.
