does it work better then the mother's metal polish? is this really a "wax" on top of the metal?

Truthfully, the Mothers would work better than Nevr-Dull. Nevr-Dull is most effective if the surface doesn't have a lot of oxidation and absolutely no corrosion.

i used to use this stuff for cleaning the stainless steel on boats. when i lived by the bay the stainless would get deposits on it and would look like it was rusting. just rub that stuff on and rub it off and the stainless looks good as new. never really used for much else though.

would you say that it protects the SS finish better than just a metal polish?
i'm still trying to figure out of it's more of a "protectant" than a cleaner/polish.

Essentially, its a light abrasive compound that is infused into cotton. This makes it easy to use, and safe in the hands of a novice. As prinz stated, its not for heavt duty jobs. Personally, I use it to clean my muffler in between polishings.

I used it to polish the tips on the '02 but would relegate it more to the door sills.

we used it to shine all the metal surfaces on my ship when i was in the Navy. It worked wonders on it. I use it every now and then on my rims, cleans em up real nice. Will be using it for some of my under the hood projects I have lined up.
