How do I dry out?

The inside passenger floor carpet was saturated by coolant a couple months ago [heater core blew] and it is still very wet. I have shampoo'd the carpet and used a shop vac to suck up all the moisture but it is still very wet. It also has a grimey feel to it, reminents of the coolant ,i believe. It is so wet i am getting condensation inside on all my windows every morning from th ehigh level of moisture in the car.I think the padding underneath is saturated as well. Anyway to remedy this or do i just have to wait for the summer when it get nice and hot in there and evaporates the moisture? But will the coolant ever evaporate?

What I'd recommend is an extractor to suck up any moisture in the carpet. This will pull up the remnants of the stains in the carpet.

I second this. Use the carpet extractor and first use quick and small strokes to lift any stuff to the surface. Then, go over it again nice and slow to get it all up. A good way to expedite the drying process is to leave the car on with the AC blowing full blast towards the floor.

If it is saturated below the carpet, you may need to pull it up. One of my customers has anti-freeze leak on the carpet of his Wrangler and I had to pull up the carpet to clean the stuff underneath.

Compressed Air. Find someone with an Air compressor, and use a blow gun attachement to blow it out of the carpet.
