Using Vinegar on your Max...?

Hello everyone, I was reading on various websites that one can use vinegar to remove water spots, clean chrome and glass, as well as apply to the windshield to prevent ice from accumulating...is this for real. Has anyone resorted to using vinegar for any application on their Max?

Just used it recently to remove water spots. It worked great. Here's the original thread.

Vinegar removes everything! Just ask Heloise

Totally chickish I know, but Heloise ROCKS! Her tips has saved my carpets (dog stains), white shirts (coffee stains), and much more. Of course her main ingredient is Vinegar. Just ask Heloise at http://www.heloise.com/

so i understand .... dish detergent to strip wax before starting paint detailing. VINEGER will remove hard water spotting.

Does anybody combine dish detergent & vineger together for washing, any adverse reaction on the paint?

Also if you cut an onion in half and wipe around on your windshield it prevents frost from forming on your windshiel. No lie.

I just bought a vinegar and tried it on my water spots. It did not work too well, actually it didn't even work. I used it 100%, rubbed the paint with it using a sponge, but nothing. Anyone can help?

Thanks

I noticed some polish residue from last week on my car after I washed it the other day. Why it was still there is a long story. Anyway, this stuff was stubborn as could be and would not come off. Thanks to this thread, I decided to wipe it with a little vinegar. It came right off with no problem.

Will it mess up tint on the inside? Not that I want my interior to smell like vinegar.
