Spilled coffee and a lot of it got under the shifter console. Smells great.

Trying to figure out how to remove it atm so I can clean up the mess...

For a 4th gen (auto), use a flathead screwdriver wrapped in a cloth and gently pry the rear part up at the corners. There are little clips that will pop loose, and you work your way forward from there, repeating the prying of clips. May be the same for a 5th gen 5 spd.
