best product to use

ok i just bought my maxima a bout a month ago, i cant drive until july, so i have t ime to change or clean the interior, i have tan. i already covered the seats with black seat covers, i like the black better, so thats wha t i am hoping to do with the whole car. the ceiling is tobacco covered i guess you'd call it. the visors and stuff, it has that kinda color on it, he was a heavy smoker, the guy that had the car before me. how do i get that stuff out without hurting hte headliner??? it is a 1991 SE if that helps.

the carpet on the floor is a whole different story. it has about 14 years of dirt and it feels like oil or somethign on the back carpet where your feet go. it feels like oil, but i dont think it is. VERY NASTY! plus with tan rugs, it dont look pretty. anyone have any ideas???? anythign that will get that oil based junk out of the rug???? without ruining it???? any ideas?

I'm not sure what to use. But, buy a new headliner and carpet. I think all that is disgusting. You could try some Resolve and to get the smell out some Febreeze.

If you are going to try and clean it, you are going to have your work cut out for you. I would recommend (at minimum) a Bissell Little Green Machine (at least) to clean the carpet and maybe some OxiClean to do the headliner.
