I've never found one that had the actual new car scent, either.

I use Giga Squash.

Squash is by far the best scent ever for an air freshner. It is the panty dropper for the ladies

I think this site distributes Beef jerky but for some reason they have an automotive section... just checked the pricing from this site and its cheap... 6 cans for $7.74... Retail is $13.14 per case of 6.

I use the MEDO air fresheners that you have to stick in the air vents...I don't like them very much cuz when I turn on the A/C It's like I'm huffing "vanilla" scented paint. The only reason I got the vanilla kind is cuz they are all black. I think I'll try the can-o-scent stuff. And which kind smells like eternity?

I use Yankee candle MidSummer Night. Smells like a guys cologne and last pretty long. I might give the leather a try too.

i actually did try some tropical scents. but the wierd thing is...when those smell mixes with certain food...the combination of the smells = crap! (literally) it was pretty horrid, so i don't use them anymore.

OooooHHHhh yeah!!! I spent $22 bucks on a car wash yesterday and im thinking what i should do next to my car.. without it looking to flashy that it will get stolen... (i live in Brooklyn and dont have a garage)... So far i have a stereo system, 2000 factory rims, tints, automatic start alarm,..spent $1125 bucks on new muffler, catalitic (sp?), 2 front axels (dont know how they went bad).. Bendix brakes front and back... Bought 2000 stock maxima rims on friday, bought Falken ziex 512's Saturday, and a can of that coconut scent garbage... Its terrible by the way... They didnt have the eternity in stock at the autozone... I hardly even smell the coconut when i get into the car after the whole day of it sitting in the sun... NO GOOD!

I just joined the site This past Thursday!!!

Yeah, im not really into the fake smells. I use 4* leather conditioner and it leaves a nice leather smell. Sometimes, if a customer has a car that really doesnt smell that great, I will stick a dryer sheet under the seat while I work to sort of freshen it up.

Is the Yankee Candle "Leather" Air Freshener strong enough where you can put one under each seat and have the car smelling nice or what? I don't like Air fresheners in sight really.

GIGA Squash is where it's at.....talk to Nick in the GD section, they are the best airfreshners I have ever had and I am one of those guys who always had to have something in my car. It is a littl estrong at first, but over time it smells great, enough to keep the car smelling fresh yet not obtrusive and it lasts for an amzingly long time...

noticed you're in houston as well, but how does it hold up in the heat? i know a lot of other air freshners fade away too fast from the heat we get down here.

if u want an air freshner that no1 can see and that will smell good. u can literally pull your center vents out no problem and just throw one back there. thats what i do. and then just drive with the vent open and u will get a nice aroma as you drive.

i got mine back in november if i remember correctly and have only one unit in my car. i still have the original air freshner that came with the unit inside the unit and it still smells every time i turn on my air vents. it is great since you can control if you want the scent or how much scent you want by opening or closing the unit and the speed of the air coming out of the vent. I have had many compliments on it so even though i don't think it smells it is still working. i will probably never try another air freshner again, i'm sold on these for life!!
