Technique to help new paint fade?

Background...I found out that my rear bumper was actually aftermarket when the Stillen rear lip wouldn't fit on my car and sold the already painted kit which didn't match all that well (i have a 00 sterling mist)...a few months later I bought the Stillen kit again and my neighbor owns a nissan dealership and helps me out with prices so now I just got the following done...
1. New rear bumper (painted)
2. Stillen Front and Rear Lips painted
3. Front bumper re-painted

They just painted the rear bumper and didn't blend the paint from the fenders or anything...The front lip is a bit brighter than the front bumper and I'm hoping this will dull over the summer and the rear bumper is significantly darker than the rest of the car so I was wondering if anybody has any tips on how to make the rear bumper fade to look like the rest of the car besides just letting it sit in the sun? I was told not to wax the rear bumper and just make sure it gets maximum sun exposure all summer. My friend who works at an autobody shop said buffing the entire car will help and that his boss would do it for me for a cheap price...does anybody recommend that? I'm just looking to see if anybody had other tips...Thanks guys.
