Bumper just got BUMPED!
Bumper just got BUMPED!
So some a-hole hit my bumper as I was in the grocery store and scraped the paint off the left side of my bumper and left some fine scratches. Anyone know if I can fix this using some scratch remover or by painting it? Or any idea of how much it's going to cost if I take it to a bodyshop?
you can cover it up, but it will most likely have to be repainted to look decent.
Try using some wax and a buffer to see how much you can smoothen it out.
If it doesn't look good enough to you after buffing, then you'll have to get it repainted.
If you have areas where the paint is totally gone, then it's a lot harder to make it look acceptable without repaint.

I feel your pain. My wife scraped the bumper on her Max. We got if fixed last week. Not cheap. There were no dents, just scraped paint down to where it showed black. We got it done for $250, but the body shop said they made a mistake and should have charged at least $400. I believe them as we had two other estimates for $450 and $460. OUCH
