Where do you wash your car?

I used to wash my car in my g/f's back alley. But that she moved into a townhome. There isn't that big of an access to water hoses. I don't have a place anymore to do it. So now i was wondering where everyone washes their car if not in there very own drive way. I dont have a driveway. i live in an apartment building. I'm trying to source out a nice decent place to wash my car. I really dont like the whole car washing places. just too many people their.

In my garage, with QEW, you can do it anywhere if you have 2 gallons of water. Sometimes I'll use 4 gallons if it's really dirty.

I use the driveway, but I've never seen a quarter-operated car wash more than half full.

If I were you, I'd just wash the car at a hose in the girly's lot. If you're in someone's way, just move the car when asked. (make sure you check out her HOA's policies before you get her a $50 fine for washing your car there)

I used to wash my car in my apt complex's parking lot. I bought a 90 cent brass fitting for the shower (after takign off the showerhead) which allowed me to hook up a hose to it. There was enough pressure that I could wash my car. Now, I wash in my driveway, dry in the garage and seal in the driveway (direct sunlight makes the Zaino cure faster).

I have a very long gravel driveway so there's lots of room for me to wash it. It sucks though cause my tires get muddy as soon as I move my car. I usually park it halfway in the garage to keep them cleaner.

Hopefully you can find somewhere to wash your car...its so expensive to bring it to car washes all the time.

I agree with that. I just go late in the evening when there isn't a lot of people so I don't have to worry about moving it. Just don't use those brushes which seem like sand paper to me. It may not show up the first time, but after awhile you will see scratches everywhere.

i dont have access to a water hose for the rinse off. thats about the only thing that worries me. I mean i can go out and soap up the car w/ no problem and everything but getting the soap off would be a issue.

Go to Menard's/Home Depot and buy a shower adapter. It's about a buck and will allow you to run a garden hose from the shower.

Hit that right on the head. That brush is torture on your paint.

I live in an apartment building also, and I wash my car with QEW twice a week in the garage.
If nothing else, there's a bikini car wash here across from the college campus every Friday and Saturday. (well in the summer) I'd have to drive someone else's car through there...I won't let anyone else wash my car!
