How long to wait before waxing a new car
How long to wait before waxing a new car
My cousin bought a new 6th gen a month ago. The car was manufactured in June of this year. How long do I have to wait to let the paint fully cure before waxing?

Thanks

You don't want to use cleaner wax on a new car because the car should not have enough contaminates to warrant it. I also avoid using clay on new cars. Just make sure whatever you do to make sure the waxes you use are clear coat safe. You dont want to damage that on a new car. Otherwise wax away.
You SHOULD clay a new car. Think about it...it's manufactured in an industrial center, ie detroit (lots of pollution), often shipped by railroad (rail dust), and always shipped by road (brake dust), so everything that claying is meant to remove.

You have a good point on that. I just didn't clay my car because when I got it had plastic on the hood ,roof ,and the trunk. When I washed it for the first time I ran my hands across the paint to see if there was any rough surfaces and there were none. Anything is possible during shipment. After having my car for about four months it started to feel like I needed to clay it. I was just told to do it when it feels even a tiny bit rough on the surface. I clay my cars about twice a year now.
