Bringing caliper paint to life....

My car came from the factory/dealer with the calipers painted. Over time they've faded. Anyone have suggestions on how I could bring the color out more aside from repainting them?

Calipers don't come painted from the factory. Best bet would be to repaint them if you're not happy with the way they look.

Please tell me those tires aren't as bald as I think they are..

as for the calipers, they come from the factory with a black/green/grey phosphate coating to prevent corrosion. similar to zinc, but not quite as durable.
clean them up with a wire brush and some brake cleaner, then use a quality aftermarket caliper paint and they'll look great for a long time to come.

but if you dont want to spend the money on some gr-2 g2-r etc paint (good stuff IMO) just spray some brake cleaner, wipe it, then use high heat enamel engine paint in universal black or aluminum. doesnt stand out too much but it makes it look a lot cleaner. i have aluminum up front and black in the rear... as you can tell it doesnt stand out that much.

Tires aren't bald, that's just the lighting, lol. I have a rare car(I guess), my calipers came painted the color of the car from the factory. When this car was bought it had <80 miles on it and was never titled.
