hard water spots on the windshield

i've got some hard water spots on my windshield from washing the car and not drying right away. no matter what I tried, they are still there. when i drive at night, the headlights of the oncoming traffic make it really bad. i tried the usual windex and also alcohol to get rid of those spots. is there a household solution that will clean them off or is there something an auto store will have?

when i get those stubborn water spots i use some white vinegar and just slowly wipe the spots and seem to work. after i use the vinegar i just use water and wash it off then squeegie it dry. forgot where i heard it from but i read on another forum about using vinegar.

Invisible Glass, 1Z glas polish, and a razor blade (if those two dont cure it)

The best solution I've found for hard water spots on the windshield is cleaner wax applied with super fine steel wool. Specifically 0000 steel wool. After applying the wax with the steel wool, wipe off with a terry or mircofiber towel.

As a side note, make sure you keep the steel wool away from your paint.

In your situation, I would clay and then use Autoglym Glass Polish or Sonus Glass, Plastic, and Chrome Polish.

In the stickies, there is a thread on glass polishing using the PC.
