Scuffs on exhaust tip.

I have a few scufs on my new exhaust tip. It is a Cattman SS? I was wondering what I could use to polish it down a little bit, to get them out.

Thanks.

Pics would help to determine the severity of the scuffs and the 'cure'.

Here is a pic, it is the best one I could take, to get the marks to show, they are not deep at all.

Try some Mother's Billet Polish first. If that doesn't do it, try Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish. I would think those marks would not be that hard to get rid of.

Thanks, I will pick some up. They are from rubbing the bumper during installation, so luckily they are not too deep.

The Billet polish is expensive...about $11 for a small container, but it shines really good. The Mag polish is much less expensive and a bit more abrasive. I've used it on chrome and it worked fine. Plus you can use the regular stuff on a lot of things in the engine bay, too.

Cool. I think I may have some mag polish. I will buy the billet though, I can always use it on my boat. I would imagine the billet polish is a really fine, since billet is like a mirror and can scratch easy.

Correct, the Billet Polish is very fine, and will give a great shine to more delicate metals. I have some, but don't use it much.
