Cleaning 10 year old brake calipers

I have a pair of 90-96 Q45 calipers that need extensive cleaning. I've been hammering it w/ brake cleaner and my wire brush w/ little results. Is there anything else i can use or another method i can try?

i used the parts cleaner at a buddy's shop to clean my q calipers and still looks like crap. It got most of the greasey stuff off the caliper but still looks dull and old.

You could just paint them silver. Or any other color
I wouldnt bother trying to get them to look great, Id just paint over them, but thats just me

Tackle them with a die grinder. It will have them smooth and shiny within seconds

just clean them with a good degreaser and a wire brush. rinse well. and apply a good couple of coats of high temp caliper paint (your choice of company). best idea is after the paint dries..spray high temp engine lacquer in a cup and brush on being carefull of drips. will make the color shiney and will not dull nearly as fast. re coated mine yesterday after 2 years and wow that red is popping. ready to put my 19s on in a few weeks . snowed today but only 2 inches
