Do I put the product on the surface or the pad?
Do I put the product on the surface or the pad?
Just curious. I was reading the how-to's for the Menzerna products I've got, and they recommend & show a dude putting 2 8" lines on the hood. He smears it around, leaves the porter on the hood, turns her on, and bingo bango.
Seems like a beauty idea for the hood, trunk lid, and the roof, but for the gravity challenged spots like the doors, fenders and quarters, it seems like I'll make a drippy droppity mess doing it that way.
Sorry the newbie question, but I've never used a Porter or any other buffer, and was curious to know how you guys applied your products. Seems to me, that it's dependant on the surface, but I don't rightly know for sure.
Also, if you put it on the pad, how do you apply it? In an X pattern, like I've seen them using the FMJ, or do you prefer some other arrangement?
Thanks in advance for your input

Personally, I put the polish in an X pattern on the pad not the paint surface.
