This is what i use, works great on my onyx car... doesn't leave behind anything... easy to apply and easy to remove.... reasonable price also.

Yep, I use Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax as well. Its relatively inexpensive and goes on easy and removes easily. Theres others on here that will tell you about how they spend countless hours waxing with much higher-priced wax, but I can't tell the difference.

You'll find alot more info on this subject in the detailing section though.

When I wax my car I apply one layer of Meguiar's NXT spray wax. After that I apply a layer of Meguiar's Gold Class.

Clay the car first and then polish and wax with Meguier's Gold and see what you think.

I recently clayed for the first time and was in awe of how much it removed. Then Poorboy's polish and NXT wax. Unimagineable how slick the paint has become. I feel sinful leaving her so dirty over the winter... or atleast just rinsing and not being this smooth.

I know alot of you will look down upon me for what I am about to say but ohh well..... I used meguires.... it's allright does the job but attracts ants expecially if you are in hawaii.... or any area where there are ants..... other than that it is ok..... I used mothers.... <---horrible and a waste of money.... at least for my ONYX color car.... swirls like crazy.... I then tried turtle wax.... the best they had at the time about a year ago, and the color black kind.... well I wasn't happy with either so that's when I got meguires.... then about 3 months ago I stumbled upon a wax you can only buy at the Toyota dealer.... found this from a friend..... worked the best but it was $40 a bottle..... way too much.... two weeks ago I tried eagle one nano tech..... that **** is awesome..... used that once so far.... went to the track this past weekend and in between laps a buddy pulled out the turtle wax ICE and polished my hood.... needless to say I have gotten rid of the eagle one nano tech after one use and loving it and switched to the ICE.... yea it's 18 dollars a bottle but it is magic in a bottle..... no residue is what got me to switch.... works like the $40 stuff I bought mixed with the nano tech I used..... amazing.... the ICE comes out on top if you ask me..... ohh for the black trim I use meguires gold class trim detailer.... nothing out there is better for trim work.... ohh and once a month I use Plastix on my headlights and tail lights......

Just washed and waxed with NXT Tech Wax. I love that stuff! So easy to apply, let it sit, wipe it off and revel great results! For someone who isn't expecting showroom results, but still wants a very slick finish, this is this stuff you need. I have recommended it to many people.

IMO the "best" wax is Souveran. But the key to any wax looking good is in the prep....wash, clay, polish then wax.

Even the "best" wax will not look good without the prep.

Currently, the wax count in my bin is 4. I have the following:

Pinnacle Souveran
Pinnacle Liquid Souveran
S100
P21S

I used to have Meguiar's #26 but when I got the other 4, it just got put to the side.

I am not counting my Klasse and my Menzerna Sealants.

Yeah I saw ICE today at Walmart. There was spray and there was another liquid form with pads. How well does it really work? Better then Meguiars Gold Class solid wax?

I haven't used the solid wax..... only the liquid..... I think it is better because there is no white residue and it doesn't attract bugs..... well ants anyway..... I won't switch now..... I am pretty much set on the ICE......

and whoever put mother's needs to try another brand..... that stuff leaves swirls like nothing else..... trust me I have a black car it shows just about every imperfection possible...... but looks tight when kept up......

Wax doesnt leave swirls. The swirls were already there, or you made them when applying/removing the wax.

Ice is a light polish/wax and it probably has fillers. Thats why you dont see the swirls

It really doesn't matter what wax is used, because most of it is in the preparation of the car. Also, I kind of like wax that leaves a residue, because it helps me remember where I waxed and didn't. However, some cheap waxes really make you work to get it polished and after doing half of the hood, your arm is already throbbing... just my opinion.

It's been said, been it's in the prep. I use Klasse Sealants, but will be looking to top with Liquid Pinnacle Souveran. The sig shows prep, and one coat of Klasse (left pic.)

Sir Prinz: I'm curious to know if you can tell a difference or if there is one (shine, liquidity, depth wise) between the S100 and the P21S. Which one in your opinion is the better wax (for dark cars) with price not being a factor.

You should try Pinnacle. It smells good like Zymol, but has the benefit of not being a terrible wax like Zymol is.

I haven't had the chance to try P21S side by side with S100 yet. However, Bluebrekr and I did an informal test with Souveran and S100. I'll let him chime in with the results.
