Refurbishing glass lights?

Any one found a good way to go about cleaning up their glass headlights and fog lights, like can be done with plastic ones by sanding out the scratches?

I've used DP Glass Restorer. It's great when used with a PC, but can be done by hand too. It will remove minor imperfections.
