leather seat torn

My leather seat is torn and in need of repair. It's also worn, but that's another story. lol. Does anyone know where I can get this repaired in the NYC area?

Also, does anyone know of a GOOD general repair shop in Brooklyn? My new mechanic is verrrry unreliable.

i don't live in the city but you should be able to find an upholstery shop that can repair it. Look in the phone book and make some phone calls.

I have a big azz tear in my leather on my driver seat of my 01. I fixed it on my own twice already (first time I was horrible at it). I went to my local fabric store (Joann Fabrics/Hancock Fabrics), bought a yard of vinyl that matched closest to my frost light grey interior and also purchased a vinyl/leather adhesive cement there as well. All for $11 Went to work on it and just cut out the right size patch that was missing and cemented it on with the adhesive. Looks almost normal, the shade of gray is off a tad bit, but I'm sure in due time it will match after it gets as worn and dirty, faded as the original leather around it. My cut in the leather was about 2x5in by the lower left corner of the seat, so not really to noticeable when the door is closed. Sucks for car shows though! Good luck with the repair, and if you don't want to spend too much money, just diy and get the vinyl fabric or leather if you can find the matching or at least close to matching color.

Peace!
