could not finish...
i finally clayed the max... I also got to polish. but i did not get to carnuba. 1. what are the effects of not carnubaing until the next day?
2. do i need to polish again if i am carnubaing tomorrow?
i know this though, i will wash the car before waxing...

Right before you start waxing (after it's been washed), get a terry cloth towel, and a spray bottle with 50% rubbing alcohol/50% distilled water. Mist the car, wipe it off. It'll create a squeaky clean surface for your wax to stick to.
Be very careful washing the car. If you have a garage there would not really be a need to re-wash.
And if you go the route that Chefasaurus suggests I'd recommend using a quality MF towel. You want to avoid creating swirl marks before you wax.
