Touch up paint...
Touch up paint...
I bought my 2K3 not too long ago and while washing it, I realized there are some chips that go straight to bare metal, so they are starting to rust. I was wondering if anyone has used touch up paint to cover these kinds of chips and will it effectively stop the rust. I found that duplicolor makes a touch up paint specifically for the maxima's sterling mist paint so I was thinking of using that, the one with a roller ball and brush. Any insight would be great. Thanks.
Just make sure that you don't "touch up" the whole hood, because then it would look like crap with all the little spots. But if it's only a few dings here and there then just get a tooth-pick or something with a strong pointy tip and gently scrape the rust off and then put the touch up paint on it.....make sure to do a very thin light coat of it; you don't want a big glob of paint.
Hope this helps
