Dry detail
Dry detail
Hey,
So the weather is getting cold here in Northern California. I know 40-50 degrees makes me sound like a puss to some of you guys in the N. East but it's damn cold to me. So I don't want to break out the hose and do a wet detail. Has anyone had any experience with those sprays/waxes that you apply and wipe down your car with. My uncle has used those on his car in the past and it looked pretty decent but I'm not sure of the type he used nor his application methods. any ideas/

Detail sprays work well, but only if the car isn't that dirty.
Try QEW (Quick Easy Wash) or ONR (Opitmum No Rinse) These are 'waterless' washes. 1 bucket needed. They seem to work very well. Check out autopia.org for more info.
Boy, I wish it was 40 -50 here in Wis.

I use Meguiars Quick Detailer, but if the car is really dirty, you're probably better off taking it to a do-it-yourself car wash and spray it all down really good.
This stuff works pretty good...
