Pinstrip removal question

I just recently removed my pinstriping, and after a few wash and wax sessions you can still see where it previously was in some areas. My question is, will it just wear off in time or is their something i could us to clear it off completely?

I THINK its because the paint underneath the sticker has never seen sunlight, it is happening to me right now cause on saturday i shaved the "maxima" sign off the trunk and can still see a slight shadow. i heard of this before but give it some time, i dont know how long but the paint should blend in after it bakes in the sun for a bit ( I HOPE cause the shadow i got is not cool)

Are you sure it is not dirt built up around the edges? To make sure do a small inconspicuous spot with rubbing alcohol and see if it goes away... if it is from the rest of the car being sunbleached... I don't think you'll ever quite get it the way you want it, without a repaint.

Oddly enough I just removed mine not too long ago off of my 93VE and there is almost NO trace of it ever being there... Only in very specific shades of sunlight will you be able to see something, but other than that it's smooth.

Hopefully it's just dirt for you too...

Try polishing the pin stripe area. That ought to help even the color out.

I just helped my friend remove pinstriping off of his Avalon. There was a slight discoloration under the previous striping. I think a mild polish should remove it. We just waxed over it. Anybody else would never notice it.

Recently my black pinstripes were taken off and even after polishing with some compound, they left a slight discoloration. Not very noticeable though.

Any advice on how to remove the pinstripe? Does any glue remain in there? Any other materials I should use?
What was Nissan thinking anyway? A lot of "nice" cars don't come with pinstripes anymore.

Since you have a newer car Id think you can leave the car out in the sun to get the metal warm. Then start at the edge of a stripe and start peeling with your fingernails. There might be some residue left which can be cleaned off with some adhesive remover.I use the 3M kind.Afterwards polish and wax the areas worked on.

Why dont u try using Goo Gone, but a very very very light application and it should remove it. That goo gone get's rid of tree sap, that pin stripe stain shouldnt stand a chance.

Thanks Squirrel, you don't know how much I appreciate this... I hate those lines!
Once I remove them, I'll post some pics of the car, it will look sweet

How about ScratchX? Could it help blend the colors?

I've taken off a few scratches with it; I don't know if it will help look the color even when the pinstripe is removed.
