Shiny Cars - *56k killah*

So since it's been nice out lately it was time to wash some cars! So here I'll share a few pictures. I'd say it's really slight detail work, but to me it's just a regular car wash.

I offered to wash the car of one of my co-workers on Thursday, while I washed my own. Even got some extra $$ out of it.

Her's consisted of ...

Vacuuming the interior
Leather Conditioner on Seats - Lexol
Wash the outside - Armor All CarWash
Polish and Wax on outside - Zymol + Meguires Gold Class
Cleaning interior/exterior windows

Slightly messy, since she's got 2 kids. Also you could still feel the contaminants on the hood, even after polish / wax. So if I wash it again it'll need a clay bar. But it looked great when done as if it just rolled off the lot.

----

Up first are a few dirty pics ... of the cars duh!

I only have exterior pics though forgot to take pics of the interior!

I always keep my car clean. Those of you from here who've seen my car / rode in it know that I try to keep it as clean as possible. Less mess equals less cleaning haha.

So for myself...

Wash exterior - Armor All Car Wash
Wax exterior - Meguires Gold Class

Once again the dirty pics are first! Not looking too bad considering it's been a month since the last wash.

NOW for the CLEAN pics!

I'm glad that I own a sedan after washing this thing. Had to climb on the door sills to clean the roof. Arm is already feeling damnn sore after this one!

Murano goes first...

Disliking the 5 img tag limit right now lol

But onto the REAL goodies and the star of this forum the Maxima.

Began by waxing the hood first. I work by starting with the hood, then roof, then trunk, bumpers, side doors including rear mirros from the top down to the sills. Even a little wax on the wheels afterwards to repel some dust.

Voila! Sittin pretty now.

if more people post in here, they should list off their products used, it'll probably reduce "hey what wax did you use" posts

Almost forgot about this thread

Thanks for all the nice comments!

The sticker I think is pretty straight, I haven't really taken a close look at it. But if you look at is straight on instead of at an angle like the pic it looks straight.

BTW slickrick I love the majestic blue myself, my top 3 colors would've been

Black
Maj. Blue
Grey Lustre

My mom actually picked out the car for me when we went shopping, so hey at least it's an easy color to stay clean.

just so you know, if you clay after you wax, your stripping the wax right off the paint

and you get some REALLY good shine spots, take a picture of the sun's reflaction right on the hood :thumb:

those of mine will come this week when i finally get around to polishing my car with my Porter Cable

Still not fixed lol the claims adjuster only coughed up $1900...hardly enough to even pay for parts!

Glad you guys like how she looks. I'll get her back in the game soon!

I've tried twice with waxing/claying using the left to right method and I've found more linear scratches than anything on my car.

So I just stuck with the circular method...

If you ever take a close look you can see them. Micro hairline scratches in the clear going from side to side...

But hey the paint still looks good.
