White ring around satellite antenna

Until recently, I had an older Sirius antenna mounted to my trunk. When I took it off, it left a white ring outlining where the antenna used to sit. After several washes, the ring hasn't come off. Any ideas on what I can do to remove it?

Pictures would help. My guess would be that they're micro scratches (or larger) and need to be buffed.

Did you wax your car on a regular basis? I'd try something like simple green and a soft terry cloth rag, or, try to buff it out, pics would help.

sounds like its gonna need to be polished out

you can try this by hand, either meguires scratch x which is really for small minor spots or meguires #9 swirl remover which is a tad more abrasive

If you wax your car, it could be unremoved wax residue?
