Watermarks

How can I remove the watermarks left by my moms sprinkler? I have given it a good washing including a polish and wax which did take off much off the marks but some of the deeper ones are still easily seen at close distances and its a dark car. Any help?

Clay Bar? Or if you get really desperate, and dont mind the possible effects, Ive heard of 50/50% water/vinegar...

that's a funny story! lol sorry

Try a clay bar and if that doesn't work then a buff with a "yellow" pad should take care of it. You can also use quite a few other products that can be used by hand, just go to your local auto parts store and ask a knowledgeable employee what would be best for your situation.

good luck

Thanks guys, my paint is still new and was painted only 3 weeks ago so I will wait a lil longer before I will try to use the clay bar, and if that doesn't work then I will try some other methods.

If you still have water marks after polishing, you weren't polishing

Polish = Wipe the car with a dry cloth

I would try the 50/50 vinegar and water on a small area to see if that helps. Although hard water spots usually come off with some moisture and wiping with a cloth.

If none of the above applies I would use some polishing compound on a small area and see if it does anything for you.

Also: Shouldn't really wax a car with flaws on the paint that can come out. Make sure the body is as good as it can get, then wax.

Heh i definently was polishing because most are gone, the only ones that are left are the ones on the hood and trunk. They seem to be much deeper then the ones that came out easily, I guess i will have to wait until next week so I can rewash it with soap then claybar it. Hopefully that will get it out, if not i will try the vinegar then repolishing the whole car.
