Is that what u call replacement for stock? :Set of 4 ( 2 HB3102, HB3103 front struts, and 2 HU2905 rear ) TOKICO HP BLUE STRUTS/SHOCKS and 4( 2 front , 2 rear ) High performance Tokico lowering springs, with a 1.25 inch drop, TO FIT 1995 to 1999 Nissan Maxima all models. These springs have been custom matched and fine tuned to work with these shocks, Tired of bouncing around ? Do it right. Track or street feel the difference with a smoother and incredible handling ride. AMAZING PERFORMANCE. Day and night difference over stock, the best parts you will replace in your car. Comes with the Tokico lifetime warranty.

taken from this site, http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaShocks
quote:
* Description: Tokico Blues are the non-adjustable OEM replacement shock closest to OEM. They don't provide much more damping than the original maxima shocks. They also have problems with the rears blowing and leaking when combined with stiff aftermarket springs (Eibachs and Ground Controls confirmed) while the fronts are generally fine. Otherwise they make great replacement shocks for stock springs. They will usually last between 10k-60k miles on a car with an aftermarket suspension depending on the stiffness of the spring before leaking or getting very soft.
* Cheapest price: $307.09 from http://www.southwestautoworks.com/
so yes, that is what i call replacement for stock.

I have the same set. It's fine for me. But I did end up blowing the driver side front. It's because I got a little brave after I had it installed, mated with a progress sway bar and a fstb. Plowing into 60+ mph off ramps day in and day out for the last 20k miles have done it. Considering the abuse I put it through, I consider myself lucky that I only blew out one. All in all I like the setup. If I beat on the thing like I usually do, I can justify spending a 100 bucks every 20k miles for a new strut.
All struts blow with abuse, none of them are bullet proof.

Glad you're happy with the setup. I like it too. Why can't more people be happy for someone instead of acting like jerk offs in this place. All you wanted to do is show off your new suspension set, and the *****es come flying in. I bet they have absolutely no experience with the setup itself. They just go by what they read, which is the opinion of one or two people. I guess there's nothing you can really do about that.
