A NEW razor blade or a window safe steel wool, both paired with some sort of window cleaner for lubrication.

Won't hurt to try. Quite a few times at work I couldn't feel anything on the window but it came off with a razor blade. Make sure that the "acid" won't haze up the window

Honestly, you can use any type of window cleaner, I'm sure that there is "stronger" and "weaker" versions, but all that you need for this is for it to serve as lubrication so you don't scratch up the window.

As a side-note, DO NOT use a razor blade on your side mirrors; the glass is, I guess you can say weaker and scratches VERY easiy

Glass Science "Glass Scrub" worked really good.. u can only buy it online though.. cant remember where i bought it but u can do a search online for it. shouldnt cost more than $10 including shipping. this crap took the spots right off my sunroof and windows...i had to do multiple applications on some spots that were really bad, but all the spots came off pretty easily..

What's up with the vinegar and water mix? I've read around here somewhere about how it works well in removing the water spots. Can anyone recommend it? Would vinegar be harmful if it made contact with paint?

thats just the thing,, u can try to mix stuff all day long..mix this with that, use pool acid ......bla bla bla... or u can buy something that works that comes in a bottle ready to use... glass scrub works so thats what i'm sticking with. plus i dont know what kind of effect pool acid will have on my car if i get it on anything else.....
