Cleaning Carpet

so i want to clean my carpet and seats in my car, my seats arent leather and my interior colour is tannish/sand colour. ive heard of shampooing it, can anyone explain to me how to go about doing this? and itd also be great if anyone could recommend any kind of carpet cleaner that is good to our carpets and how to use it properly...my interior doesnt look bad but it does have a few stains and such

any advice/help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!

Don't waste your money on carpet cleaner. Your average house products should work fine.

The carpet cleaner that I use and swear by is TUFF Stuff you can find it at autozone
and i think they have i at O'Reilys also

take it out and pressure wash it. that got the soda, makeup, dirt, baby, and other stains out of my carpet in my 03 neon. I use a whole can of Tuff Stuff on it, draped it over an engine hoist and fired away. Looks only 6 mths old. I use the Turtle Wax Oxyclean stuff for tuff stains like rust. Works great. Lotta work, great results.

I clean my carpet by using the largest washing machine in the landuary store.
