Has any of you used the clear bra for paint protection?

After I got a scratch on my new maxima, I have been thinking of some way to protect the paint, especially the bumpers and front part of the hood which is most affected by bugs and chips in highways other than knuckleheads not knowing where to put their carts outside a store. And also from hot, humid and rainy Florida weather. One of the ways is to detail the car frequently which protects from the weather but not from scratches or minor dents.

The other option which does protect from scratches and minor dents is the black vinyl bra that many people put on. No offence to anyone but I do not find it very attractive on light colored cars, such as white, silver, light grey, etc. And mine is light (precision) grey.

I was wondering if any of you used the 3M clear bra for paint protection in your cars. Here is a review of the thing: http://www.automotivearticles.com/Clear_Bra_3M.shtml

Any other product or way to protect the paint from scratches and dents will be very useful.

I have had the 3M clear bra on my AE for about 4 years. I love it. You can see a line across the hood, but it is not very noticeable and I think it is worth it for the protection. I also have it on the headlights and foglights and door edges.
