I can't get my wheels clean

I have a 99 se-L and I have found out that my se rims are a "titanium" colored finish unlike non-L se rims. my issue is I have tried all kinds of stuff to clean them good. when I got the car they were dirty, lots of brake dust, and I can't seem to get it off. any help would be appreciated.

If there not chrome or polished Ive used THE PURPLE STUFF from advance auto. Stuff is strong and Ive used it on all kinds of hard to clean things. If you think there is even the slightest chance of ruining the rims dont try it.

Orange-glo, tried it once completely accidentally and it got EVERYTHING off. I have the same rims you have. Though I wouldn't recommend using it on a regular basis... since it seems pretty corrosive.

Everyone will have a preference as far as Degreasers go, but give one a shot and it should take care of your problem. You can also use it on your engine .

Simple green will Eat aluminum if left on there for too long. If you use it make sure you wipe it off early like right away

X2 Clay is better

Treat your rims like you do your paint, the rims have a clear coat on it too

Not all of the rims have clear coats, but if yours does, then he's right. Treat it exactly like paint, you can even wax them.

I use this stuff at work called White Lightning, amazing results for me everytime, even cleaning cars that are 10 years old with about 10 years of brake dust, salt, and they clean right up looking new.
