cleaning the max

Well my car has been down for a while, been in the garage and outside collecting dust, pollen, bird crap, dirt and spider webs, and whatever else. Yesterday I started cleaning it up some. Car needs a ton of work, car has enough scratches to shake a stick at. It's a good car to practice some rotary skills on. Anyway I started with the engine and just gave it a quick wash. The paint is ridiculously contaminated and will need to be clayed thoroughly.

Before

After

Basically for the engine I hosed it down thoroughly. Used a bucket of dawn and a wash mitt. Then sprayed some Simple Green on the motor, grabbed some brushes and rags. Then went back around again with the mitt. Then dressed it with 2 coats of CD2.

And here's a couple pics of the POS cleaned and ready for clay.

Today comes a lot of claying and hopefully first step of polishing.

Not too shabby. Now clean mine . I'm still rockin' the brake dust from the cruise.

BTW, I'm likin' the G35's. Very flush!
I can't remember what you said happened to the grill.
