Rail Dust

So i started washing my car today and noticed these little specks all over my car.Come to find out that its rail dust from my work.(I work at a train yard) I wanted to know if anyone ever had this problem. The specks look like tiny rust spots. If anyone had this problem and could recommend the best way to remove it would be a big help.Still going to search online but wanted to check the org first. Thanks

Id make my first attempt by washing the car very well with high pressure like at a do it yourself. Whatever spots that are left on the car after that should come of well with polish. If any are still tough, then you might need to use a clay bar. Good luck!

Yup. Clay bar. I'd say right off the bat. Give her good ole wash and do it up right and proper with the clay. Then polish as needed. If you read up on clay bars, in many descriptions they actually list rail dust as one of it's many uses for.

Don't use the liquid clay bar, stick to the compound. And you have to work the paint if your car has a lot of grime/tar in the paint.

I've used a few different brands, but they're all essentially the same. I tend to lean towards Clay Magic because it is less expensive per ounce of clay compound... around my area anyway.

You need to use a REAL clay bar. Mothers is good, and you can get a whole kit for like $20.
