i had moisture in my driver fog light so i figured i can blow it out with an air compressor. well when i did, needless to say all the reflective paint in the housing came off with it. i didnt know it was that fragile/old...whatever the case.

so i am wondering if i can use a dremel to open the fog light and do they sell some sort of specific paint for this? i heard chrome paint/lacquer isnt really that good at reflecting, and i've read of people using aluminum foil or aluminum tape, but with hid's in the fogs, wont it just turn black due to the heat?

im hoping i dont have to order another fog light, i dont know of any other ways for this to work, the web hasnt many options for this. at least i couldnt find anything.

 

I've never heard of anyone successfully redoing the reflective material inside of any fog or headlight housing, and it be able to reflect useable light onto the road.

I'd replace the foglight assembly with a new one.

 

I think I have some mint '97-'99 fog reflectors laying around. I can replace one of yours for $40 if you cover all shipping.
