Cleaning glue residue from paint

So, the previous owner used some glue to keep the mirror assembly together. They used too much of said glue and it oozed on paint surface of the car without being wiped off so i have trails of dry glue that wont just simply wash off with car cleaners.

Are there any products out there that can remove glue like substances on paint surfaces without damaging the paint?
Thanks.

scrape it off, it might take a while and a whole lot of muscle but scrape it off first, then wash and maybe use a paint cleaner or clay bar.

Get yourself a "rag" or a old sock, not the dressy ones but just a average tube sock. Turn it inside out to where the rougher side of the outside. The take some kerosene or gas and place on the cloth, then hold it on the glue area for a few second and then check. You may have to gently rub the area that's affected by the glue. After this is complete wash, wash, wash the area or whole car, and apply wax to the car, or at least to the area you just worked on... BTW, I won't promise anything, but I use this method all the time at the shop on 50g benz's without any problems
