do wheels make a difference?

I know this is a dumb question but I don't know the answer. Does the size of wheel you run affect the amount of power you actually get to the ground? The reason I ask is because I am getting ready to go to the dyno, and my car sit on 19x8.5's. Last time I dynoed I was on 18x7.5s. I would like to just leave the 19's on for the dyno, but at the same time if I would show more HP on my stock 15's then I will switch back to those. Thanks for any advice.

bigger wheel affect the dyno. same way they effect 1/4 mile times. unless they are are superlightweight 19s. bring the 15s to the dyno and swap them after a pull. you will pick up some HP with the 15s..

Ok, the reason I was wondring is because I know my car is faster on the 1/4 mile with the smaller wheels, but I was thinking that was just because of weight and rotational mass rather than not having as much power. But I guess the smaller wheel would not hurt.

It will make you lose power but the important thing is to be consistant for all runs(Not just consistant for one day).

I know, but the thing is that I sold the wheels that I have dynoed on in the past...so the 15's will be a good medium for me as well as showing the most power
