6th gen and 5.5 gen dyno!

Went to a dyno today to see what kind of power im putting down. Now keep this in mind, i am still not tuned.... (wanted to do a before and after)

i pulled 2 runs, 1 NA, and the other with nitrous
NA-
Max Power- 229.04
Max Torque- 228.27
With Nitrous (75 shot)
Max Power- 298.46
Max Torque- 325.79

Also dyno-ed bro's 5.5 gen and was pretty disappointed
His numbers were
Maxpower- 187whp
Max Torque- 204

here are some pics and videos

^ I know they are gonna ask about the mods on your car. I don't know everything about your brothers so help me out there....?

For those that do wanna know it's a Zex Wet Kit 75 shot...

Very nice runs today Solow I was really impressed, I think if we could of gotten your bottle up over 1000psi you would have def seen over 300whp Torque numbers were good too. I like my little comment at the very end of your second video lmao!!!

Good job man.

Pretty nice numbers on the 6th Gen.

For a stock, A/T 5.5, your brother's did about right. IIRC most stock A/Ts are right around 190ish, so it isn't far off.

autos dyno that low? i really need to get my car back on the rollers, my last dyno was over 5 years ago and with just a intake i did 218whp/228tq. 6gen has some nice numbers, maybe i need some nitrous..

no cel, i think we know what could be wrong with it... the dyno was not stable and kinda choppy, we are gonna replace the spark plugs and see what it does...

they were both done in 3rd gear, the 6th gen is a 5 speed... while the 5.5 gen is a 4sp

3rd gear for the 4spd auto sucks.. my mods are frankencar intake, hks exhaust, custom block off plate.. there are no CEL's.. but like my brother said, we're gonna do the spark plugs and i'm sure that'll change the outcome.. on the other hand, i just ordered some spacers as well!

Stock 5.5 Gen 4AT are around 190-200 whp - Dynojet, SAE corrected

Stock 5.5 Gen 6MT are around 200-210 whp - Dynojet, SAE corrected

Just based on averages that we've seen around here over the years.

^ He didnt know what to expect Nmex, he's kind of a newbie so go easy on him.. I'm gonna try to talk him into getting some headers very soon along with a few other things and an safcII and we will get it installed and take a trip back to the dyno to see what we can squeeze out of this thing.. As for the 6th gen he has been killing some 13sec cars around here so I cant wait to see what a tune does for him. Solow and I are going on the same day to get our cars tuned, hopefully in the next couple weeks so stay tuned
