03 350Z what Oil

I have 4K miles on my Z. I plan on changing over to Mobil 1 Supersyn 5W-30.

Is this a good weight for the climate that I live in? I live in Iowa which means we could see -20 in the winter and 110 in the summer.

Also at what mileage would you recommend that I make the switch?


I plan on going about 5K miles between oil changes.

Yes that's a very helpful thread but I didn't see anything about if it makes a difference in different climates.

Nope.

Nothing wrong with using a 0W/30 if you are really concerned in the wintertime and 10W/30 in the summertime.
