Lack of availability in my local area is why I don't recommend it.

The ST7317 number is the proper filter for the VQ but has only recently been available. The ST6607 is the thimble sized one others have used but I don't recommend due to its size. The ST2808 can be used, but have apparently been "consolidated" down into the newly released ST7317.

Need to make sure it is of good quality by cracking one open and making sure it's of good constuction on par with othe rChampion made filters such as Bosch/STP/Mobil 1.

ASSuming it's still made well, I would recommend it over the Nissan OEM 15208-9E000 and Bosch 3323 due to its similar construction and $2 part cost.

If Wal-Mart bothered to start carrying SuperTechs again in my area, I would use them on a VQ30DE or VQ35DE without hesitation. Hopefully availability will change soon.

I doubt you need to stock up too much, as that's a new part number. My Wally Worlds simply haven't bothered to re-stock their SuperTechs.

Definitely a good choice for the budget conscious when combining with a Castrol GTX oil. For less than $10 your oil and filter are changed.
