I know this may sound like a dumb question, but do we Maxima owners have to change transmission oils like other cars? I'm 5-speed by the way. The reason I'm asking is because I owned a 91 accord LX 5-spd where transmission uses regular motor oil as transmission oil.

Anyway, how often do I need to change it? I bougth my car at 29K and now it has 58k and I have not changed the trans oil yet. Where is it located? Any write up on how to do it???

never mind ppl....found it in the sticky

 

dont forget to change the metal filter if youre servicing your auto transmission. I dont know if the 5 speed has the same filter.

 

There is no filter on the 5 speed...
