oil capicity

how much oil does the vq 4gen engine take?
is it 4 or 4.5 qt?
i got two different numbers when i looked it up shurgs

Don't quote me but I'm sure it's about 3.7 with a filter change. I would suggest you put in 3.5 and run the engine for a few minutes. Then check your dip stick and fill accordingly.

When I do an oil change and replace the filter, I just put in 4 quarts of oil. The capacity is 4.5 qt, but there is still some oil left in there
