How much oil to fill?

I am going to use the Amsoil SDF-20 oil filter. It is larger then the OEM size filter. How much more oil should I be adding into the crankcase since I am going to the larger filter? Thanks in advance.

Start with the 4.25 quarts. Run it for awhile and check it a few times.

My bet is 1/4 quart.

Metric would be 4 litres to start and 200 to 225 ml to topoff.

Just check your oil and make sure your oil is to the maximum level.

As you know...

Used the SDF-20 Amsoil oil filter and had to use 4.5 litres of Amsoil ASL 5W30 oil. As you know the dipstick is useless. How can one get an accurate reading? I used 4.25 litres before with OEM sized filter. So far so good with this oil and filter.
