You can use Redline, Amsoil, or Mobil 1 synthetic in your 2K starting now. Good stuffs for our Maximas!

Mobil 1 can be bought anyway and is cheaper then Amsoil and Redline. I would recommend their 10w30 since it is a very shear stable oil and provides good protection for our climate. If you chose Amsoil or Redline, then I would go with their 5w30. The Amsoil 5w30 is A3 rated. The Redline is probably the most shear stable 5w30 you can buy. Drawback, it costs much more then Mobil and Amsoil. If you do oil changes at 3K, then a good non-synthetic would do fine. I recommend the Chevron Supreme or Halvoline 5w30/10W30. All this is assuming you do not do any track running or redline your car most of the time; if so, then the Redline 10w30 would be my choice. Just my two cents.
