As everyone know by now the nissan has discontinued a certain type of oil filter.

I was wondering if anyone tried both the discontinued oil filter and the yota filter on their car.

I was thinking of buying a case of oil filter from my dealer, but was wondering if the yota filter is better or on par with the nissan filter.

 

Question. If it was an inferior filter, any particular reason it would be widely recommened for the VE30DE?

 

I'm not saying if it was inferior filter, just saying that some people have used the yota filter as well and if anyone has used both.

If they could tell any difference between the two.

 

In what terms?

 

if the ticking in the engine died down more or any difference in smoothness of ride, especially on 5spd things like that, just looking for general info.

 

It's proven to have a quality anti-drain back valve, sufficent filter media area, to be a quality made filter and has reduced tick a good amount.
