Where to refill the tranny fluid in an automatic?

After I have dropped the pan, gotten rig of the old fluid, and cleaned the pan; where do I REFILL the new tranny fluid into?

The pan? Cause then I would have to try and put a full pan back on? Is that right

OR is there a dip stick under the hood I can out the fluid into?

Thanks

1) Reinstall pan.
2) Fill up in dipstick tube (4qts).
3) Start engine, run until engine is warm, move through gears.
4) Check level.
5) Add as necessary.

Where is this dipstick? Is it the one w/ a rubbery round red top that is smaller than the oil dipstick?
