Intermediate Filter Change?

Intermediate Filter Change?
I am running M1 5W30 Synth. I would like to do 6k intervals on the oil change, but should I change out the filter 1/2 way through that interval? I am running the Nissan OEM 15208-9E000 filter which is pretty small, so I think an intermediate change would be good. Let me know what you think!

I think you can switch if you want, but it shouldn't be a necessity. Keep in mind Nissan recommends 7500 mile intervals on those filters with petroleum oil.
