M1 0w30 and M1 ATF, wow

so i finally dropped the bucks and went with 4 quarts of M1 0w30 supersyn and did a full tranny flush with 12 quarts of M1 ATF synthetic, the results are spectacular. If anyone has any doubts let me be the first to tell you. I definately notice a difference cold mornings as compared to dino Valvoline and generic dino ATF. The 1-2 shift is great now. Everyone switch. now. k tnx bye.

Thats the best thing you could have done for that AT. I was suprised how dirty mine was (including the magnets in the pan) at just 24K miles when i did a Amsoil flush. I paid $67 for a case of Amsoil and like 5$ to ship it, but with 60-90K mile change intervals it's a good investment.

Using Amsoil or Mobil ATF and doing the full tranny flush outlined in the sticky post is the single most effective maintenance item you can do.

i agree, transmission feels great now. there is a little weird feeling in overdrive though when cruising around 40mph... didnt feel it as much on the dino but the trans has 70k city miles on it, could be just age.
